Anyone that tells you there aren t any bargains in Costa Rica just tell them we will prove them wrong! Where we live the bus system which is world class in Costa Rica, a trip to downtown which is about 10 miles away runs about .30 (cents) and the schedule is every 10 minutes. Most of the buses a brand new and many are Mercedes. This is typical of almost all of the country. A trip to my wife s home town which is 3.5 hours away is about $3.75 on what is called the VIP bus which is express and has a bathroom aboard. What a great bargain!
